After years of uncertainty and efforts to find safety in different countries, Zahra Kazemi, an Afghan women’s rights activist, entrepreneur, and artist, and her family have finally received humanitarian visas for France.

Since fleeing Afghanistan in 2022 because of serious security threats, Zahra and her family have been living in hiding in Pakistan under difficult circumstances. Two minors living with them have been out of school during this period. Reaching France would offer them the chance to live safely and, we hope, allow the children to return to education.

Now, one final financial barrier stands in their way.

The family needs €3,500 for exit permits in Pakistan and €2,500 for one-way flight tickets for four people—a total of €6,000. These costs are beyond their current financial means.

Village e.V. is raising funds to help cover these essential expenses and enable the family to finally reach safety.
